The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete

It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

So Billy, if you don’t have much free time, I take it you are not in any kind of isolation. True?

Hahaha – stop calling Brian “Brain”! Even though he really is a “brain”, we don’t want it to go to his head…

I can’t believe it, but I also actually listened to everyone’s post. Like Jola said, it’s like having a music festival in your own house. If we had all been playing the same thing, it would have been a lot harder to listen to all of them.

Does anyone know what was the first ever Monthly Lesson Challenge that Alaska Bryce organized? And how many members participated?

I’ve been throwing that in there because… well… it’s in your comment. LOL
Yeah, it was a mix of musical talent and axes, which I thought was really interesting and enjoyable to watch. Lots of talent here on the forum.

Yeah, I’ve been in lockdown for a whole year more or less. I spend my days looking after my old mum who has dementia/Cancer/Glaucoma , Dont know if you have ever delt with anyone with dementia Steve but I can assure you it leaves the carer with very little free time to do anything, I certainly don’t have the time to sit and watch 107 videos.
I do get a bit of free time around 9pm when I get her to her bed, though that isnt a given as I can still be running around after her well into the wee small hours or stripping her bed in the middle of the night cos she has had an accident..

I don’t think anyone realises the enormous strain on relatives that are caring for loved ones until they’ve actually done it. Well done Billy, your mother is fortunate she’s got you during what must be trying and difficult times.

EP054 is the 1st one I can track down mention of, cant seem to find the thread. There is the 2nd ..one.. which was over 5 years ago. Lots of names who dont use AM anymore..
these lesson challenges were posted in the “showcase your playing” section of the forums until I asked that the challenge responses had their own section as it was difficult to separate showcase/responses..
