I came across this one looking through older lesson numbers and decided to give it a go!
It was a great workout for my timing – really having to wait between the phrases; there was such a temptation to rush back in!
The lesson video was all acoustic guitar, but I thought it worked really well on my electric with just a tiny bit of grit – see what you think…

To my mind the essence of the best blues sounds is in good phraseing. How many time do we here a high speed widley didley of the pentatonic scales with no real feel to it. The stylecan come with just that one note when it is timed perfectly as BB and so many other have demonstrated. So this is a great lesson to master in my view. I am sure you will be aplying the education from it and it can only make you a better player in my thinking great choice and well done.

The phrasing was well done and relaxed, the way it should be. Well done.

Such a fine lesson to get under your fingers and as you mentioned a workout for playing “ space” and really getting the phrases saying something .
Very well played and the slight break up of tone works a treat .Martin

That’s a real Brian’s treasure! There’s many ways to play it. Your more gritty version with delay gives (to me) the melody more depth. Very well played and your phrasings and dynamics are executed perfectly. A pleasure to listen. Great tone👍🎸.

Extremely well played WPB, your timing & phrasing was absolutely on the nail, in what is a tricky piece at times, I also loved the tone you dialled in.
This piece from Brian is probably my all-time favourite and I remember posting it nearly 4 years ago myself, it’s just a fabulous melody.Richard

Simply beautiful and laid back, WPB! I could listen to it on repeat all day… perfect listening for a chilled Sunday!
You have reminded me that this is a such a great lesson… the backing track is very hypnotic and mesmerising, and you have captured that brilliantly with your lead.
Your wonderful playing has inspired me to re-visit this lesson. Thanks for posting! 😎🎸

That was very well played and I totally agree about this sounding good on and electric guitar. I did this lesson some time ago and it was all on my Squire Strat. Also true what you say about the timing – learning not to fill the spaces with a bunch of notes is as much of a skill as playing the notes in the first place. Thanks for this one, I enjoyed hearing it.
