Until recently, I have been using the VLC open source player for all video lesson material and You Tube videos that I’ve downloaded. I found it to be very useful because of the A-B loop point feature and the variable speed feature. The loop point feature was a bit tricky so I’ve kept my open for an alternative and recently did a search when I started working with a DVD. What I found was the KM Player
I had used it before in a much earlier release and at the time, found to be user unfriendly. However, the newest release has been honed considerably and the A-B loop function is much easier and accurate than the VLC player. Another nice feature of the KM Player is that the speed control is in the same user control dialogue box, making it much easier &quicker; to tailor a video instruction to your needs. I suspect that it will also be really good in attempting to transcribe licks from YT videos.
Here is the link to the download.

Thanks for the link to this download. I wasn’t aware there was such a program, but in our digital age, anything is possible.
