Just saw this and it helped to make sense of what’s going on in the music industry today. He talks about AI, the cost of making and listening to music, and makes a lot of other good points.

Some insightful stuff there by Rick B. I guess $10.99 a month for EVERYTHING is cheap! I remember Meet The Beatles was about 4 bucks new! You would sit and read everything in or on an album while listening and the lyrics were usually included.

I had just watched this video earlier… Thanks for posting
My wife & I were listening to the Hollies’ Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress – one of her favorites and we were talking about the music of today doesn’t begin to compare to the music of the 60s & 70’s. It was so creative and so many varied voices & styles of music under the umbrella called Rock Music.
Blues rock, southern rock, progressive rock, bubble gum music, etc etc etc and it was all good…well for the most part it was good.Professor of Rock is a good You Tube channel that covers the music of that generation and gives some good insight. This is a typical of his content

I guess Rick Beato took some heat over his video about music and this is his response. It’s very interesting to see some of the statistics he brings up and his explanation for them.

I am not always a big fan of Rick Beato, but I tend to agree with him in this case.
