George & Leo – the foundation of G&L guitars,

Interesting short video that briefly touches on some aspects of the long time friendship of Leo Fender & George Fullerton
George has served in the US Marines, worked part time as a machinist for Lockheed Martin while going to school for electronics. Leo invited him to join his company in 1946 and they were close friends and business partner for the remainder of Leo’s life. He played a large part in the design of the Strat and if I’m not mistake, George was the main designer of the 1957 Strat

Thanks to George and Leo for the gift they left us! I’m due for another visit to Fullerton. ☺
