Aside from the amazing solo virtuosity, Hendrix was one of the greatest rhythm players ever to grace the electric guitar. Enjoy.

Way too cool- I always thought so myself. One day I am going to study this stuff. Also, the dude could sing! Seems you are enjoying retirement!
Peace,

Absolutely, John, but now my break is over and I have to get back to repainting the bedroom before my wife gets home.

A lot of people copy Jimmy, but few are able to capture those inflections!!

Loved it John. I went through about a 3 year phase when I all played was Jimi, and this one was in my rotation. I agree about his rhythm playing. That was always the hard stuff for me. His leads were doable, but his rhythm parts took some serious listening, learning, and practicing. His timing, techniques, and feel on rhythm was just so funky and R&B. It’s just something that he felt and played naturally. For us mere mortals it’s tremendous work to even get close.
I wish I would have had this isolated track back then. When I think Hendrix, I think of his rhythm playing first. The best ever.
Thanks for sharing John, and Happy Birthday,

Very interesting indeed. In my head, I was trying to visualize what he was doing. To my surprise, much of the time I could do that.
