Yes I own a Beat Buddy. I’ve had it for a couple of years. It is pretty impressive. Sounds like real drums and cymbals. It features controls for speed, volume and selecting what type of beat you want ex.4/4, 6/8, etc. There are 10 different beats just for Blues. Other forlders include Brazilian, brushes, country, Drum and several other styles. Singular sound sends updates via the web to it’s customers. I have gotten two updates since owning. Updates are entered via usb or it’s resident SD card. The latest has a feature for when your drummer has had a few too many and you try to keep up, kinda fun! Be advised you will want the footpedal also. You could get by with out it BUT, it provides for a quick on off and a very cool cymbal crash when you want to add it. With the foot switch the price climbs to $350, trust me you want the footswitch. There is also a beat buddy jr. don’t know much about it’s capabilities. You might try their website directly as they might be running a Christmas sale. Another great feature: The Beat Buddy will never try to hit on your wife or girlfriend at a jam session. And it will never say “I forgot my cymbals” (LOL)

I just bought a Boss RC-300 looper pedal and am learning how to use it. It comes with an impressive collection of drum beats, and more can be downloaded, I’m told. Also, it comes with an impressive set of pedal effects, which could save on buying individual pedals. Plus it has 3 looping channels which can be turned on and off individually. So you get the equivalent of a Beat Buddy, 3 looper pedals, and a dozen or more effects pedals for not much more than a Beat Buddy. Awesome!
