The thing we all refer to as “Brian” is not actually a real person. It’s an AI persona which is linked to several Chatbots, and creates lessons in a matter of microseconds each week. It can analyze the styles of all guitarists ever recorded, and determine how the sound effects were achieved by each guitarist. It can play examples and can automatically generate guitar tabs for everything it plays. Pretty cool, eh?

Gotta love that bit of creative sarcasm!
Jeff, if you are interested in what drives Brian, have a listen to this interview he did with one of the AM members for a We Grow Media podcast a few years ago.
Brian is a gifted, creative, hard working guitarist and teacher who took a significant risk in committing full time to Active Melody. Fortunately, he is also a very talented marketer and has hit on a winning formula that very few could replicate.

Thanks, I think I will listen to it. What I know is that I like the way he teaches is fantastic. No gimmick ” One true secret” BS. very methodical in his method and approach. I tried to learn this back in the 80’s but it was very hard to find a teacher you connected with. Backing tracks were unheard of. The only option we could come up with was cassette recorders or boring friends to tears while you experimented and learned. I love that he has everything in one place, and he breaks everything down so even the least experienced can under stand it. Brian is now my new hero. cant wait to learn all I can.

Yeh, I was kidding. Brian actually lives not far from my sister in Tennessee. She says she knows (or knew) one of the Sherrill family.

If you haven’t listened to https://wegrowmedia.com/quitting-your-day-job-for-your-creative-work-with-brian-sherrill/ It is a good way to get learn about this guy we’re trusting to help us improve on guitar. I hope the positive comments he receives far exceed the negative ones. For a self-teaching hobbyist, learning so much from the site. I’m amazed that he’s never taught students face to face.
