Special Edition – a Challenge collaboration!
Bruce and Bill met at Tall Toad Music in Petaluma, CA (thanks, guys) and recorded this month’s Challenge – make a tune using A minor, D minor, G and E, in that order. Here’s what we came up with, on the fly, at the store . . .
Just focus on the notes you DID get right . . . Frank Vignola

What a pleasant surprise, now that was a unique way to do a Challenge, … meet up at a music store. This idea could catch on. Great result guys.

Saw this in Bill’s thread and I can only repeat that it’s wonderful that you could meet and play together in flash and bones, Bruce! Great jam, a lot of fun, music together always the best!

The second time around and the music still sounds good and the audio quality … well that’s the same as well! But the music is very good so congratulations to you both.

Hey Bruce, what a pleasure it was to meet up and jam this out! Funny, I posted the other Tele in my challenge thread, so I guess everyone’s gonna get to see the A and B sides :).
Enjoyed seeing you at the market too! Some fantastic sets up here in Eureka, maybe next year you should come up 🙂 -

It was such a pleasure to see this video of you two together Bruce and Bill!

That’s so cool, two AM guys jamming in a guitar shop!
You both sounded great together as if you were long time band members.
I loved it.
Wow and you’re busking. Great to see.

Huge fun – I had to look up Petaluma to see where it is. I’ve been there before, but it was several years ago and it was 108F, so we didn’t get out of the car.

Of course, your version of the jam was muuuuch better than the one Bill showed to us, Bruce. That‘s because in Bill‘s post a very important feature was missing: the famous intro of Bruce D 🙂
I’m really happy for you two that you could meet and jam together – so cool. I must admit, I am a little envious, too.
Anyway, great submission!Bluesige Grüße

How fun this must be to meet and jam with another Active Melodian! Both of you are proficient players and I’m sure the store owner and people trapped inside the store did enjoy your jamming together, haha! It sounded fabulous to my ears!

Hi Bruce:
I enjoyed your other take that Bill posted as much as this one. However, it was good to hear your into story here – those are always great. You both play well together and keep great time and sound very musical. Your lead was awesome here, as well as your closing chord. Cheers, Tom -

I’m intimidated enough even trying a guitar and amp in a music store and you guys did a jam and challenge recording. Hats off, boys! I saw Bill’s post already but enjoyed your intro and self effacing commentary. Nicely done, guys.
I also loved seeing you out there busking.
