Hello AM,
I had a hard time with this one mixing the major pent. with the minor pent.
And I found it hard to stay in the box.
Took me all month, trying it on different guitars finally settled on my trusty LP.
Don’t know if it is the covid shot, but couldn’t play anything decent.Anyway, here it is.
Used a Quist BT slow blues.
Golden top LP with Spark.AndréM

Hi Andre, this track is so slow I would find it tough to play over… but you did it justice. Deep bluesy feel to your playing… love the long sustained tones. This music captures how I feel after a Covid shot, so I’d say you’re right on with it.

Sustain for days! Man, you could just hold one of those notes for the whole track. Nice build ups and then Falling off and letting the listener breathe.
I hear you, it’s almost harder just playing in one box at this point but you did a great job with phrasing and pacing.

It looks like both you and I ended up underwater this challenge, André! 😆
Those slow tracks are so challenging to play over but if anyone can make it sound epic, it’s you! And I gotta say, watching you play that entire thing in one box was interesting to watch, you milked that area dry – so many ideas and their variations! Amazing that so much music can be done all in one spot and you just proved it for the whole seven minutes!🎸JoLa

Oh, this BT is really slow, Andre. But you master even this difficult task with such bravura. Even if you say: not anything decent, I can only say: hats off!
Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom

Now that is a slow track , I think you’ve played admirably with such a task , the sustained notes work really well on this one and carry the lead through this difficult track .
Hats off to youMartin

Andre
Not so simple. Exquisite sounding. Love the long sustains and the haunting ‘blue’ notes’. Great job on this. You are squeaking just about every possible note degree out of each bend. Sounds great. Using Martin might have sounded better though! 😉John

Sounds good to me, Andre. You can really bend them strings. Amazing tone coming from that Spark amp.

Man, you can make your LP sing and cry even in only one position! Your style here reminds me of the great Gary Moore, with those tasteful bends with long sustain and a delicious phrasing. Pro level rendition amico mio, lovely to listen to!

What a sustain and phrasing!
Your LP is crying! Hmm maybe I should have got a LP instead of a Strat🤔.
That was more than decent, Andre😃.

When you said a slow Quist track you weren’t kidding. There was plenty of space for you to show what you got and that’s what you did in slow motion. And I understand the discomfort of having to play in one small part of the neck when you are so used to wandering all over the place any time you want. You didn’t get overwhelmed with the impulse to play too much, either. All of which is to say you played great even though it might not have felt like it.

With your expressive skills and note choices you make anything sound great, Andre. That’s some real Canadian blues! You’re a brave man to keep it up for over 7 minutes.
You really stung some of those notes (see what I did there?). You seemed a little worried about what was behind you at one point.

7 minutes staying in the same box would be a tough challenge for anyone! But that all sounded great to me.

Another great submission of yours André! Great sound too!
If I wasn't making mistakes I wouldn't be the kind of player I want to be. Perfection is dangerous.

It doesn’t get any bluesier than this, André. Your LP sounds so good against the backing track and you tell a great story, calling and responding. Love it!

You really capitalized the slow rhythm of this blues with great phrasing, vibrato, slides, and bends. I don’t know you managed to achieve such long sustain, but this was well done. Great listen, so bluesy.
