Hello friends I had no idea what to do for this but since Jazz Festival is here in New Orleans in a few weeks I decided to try something a little funky like you might hear down here if you ever visited, this is all Pentatonic with a few exceptions of a few triads and single chromatic single note walk downs,I wanted to show how you can simply use the same notes and phrases in different octaves to get different sounds,it’s repetitive I know but I just plugged in and went with it,hope yall enjoy!

Good one Wayne. I have a looper and still haven’t used it yet. I need to experiment with it.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Great idea and well played, Wayne! It’s nice to see that some of us do use a looper from time to time.

Playing the same notes in different positions is a good tip to remember – as you demonstrate.

Excellent funky rendition and great use of the looper, Waine! Liked the unusual chord progression, although simple very original and enjoyed you your leads over it: they don’t sound repetitive to me, in fact I enjoyed very much to listen to your piece of music, very upbeat and fun!

Way to go, Wayne. Lay down a nice rhythm groove and then let your musical creativity shine through. And when it works as well as it does here, I, as a listener, have a blast too.
Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom
The next Meetup will be May/June
There will be a detailed announcement here in the forum
I look forward to meet you.

That totally works, Wayne, change the register and add little variations. The ear loves repetition.

Nice use of the looper with a cool little groove to improvise over , sounds great for off the cuff playing and kept the listener engaged.
Love the simplicity of it , with the notes repeated in a higher register, that’s all you need to make good music .Martin

Very good Wayne, an excellent example where you can set up an entire solo starting from a single idea, repeated and slightly varied each time….It’s not easy at all…Bravo

So cool! I love simple grooves like that, so effective and almost hypnotic 😵💫 A Jazz Festival in New Orleans sounds like a place to be – but we also will have our Jazz Fest in May here in Las Vegas, NV! I’m planning to attend the funky and soul day 😎
