        I found this very interesting and I’ve never seen this explained anywhere else before (with all due respect to Brian who I think is a great teacher). You have to play the chord changes with the major pentatonic, you cannot play the entire 12 bar blues in the major pentatonic by staying in the ‘key of the song’ like you can with the minor pentatonic scale.           Agreed totally on the mark with the major third clashing on the 4 chord.
