Hi all,
If you look these guys up you’ll likely find the word “underrated” along with the comments and I have to agree with that.
This is just a straight up rock song with a cool lick and solo and it was a hella lot of fun to play.
Haven’t been active on the forum of late as I’ve only been managing the odd half hour here and there and I learned this song over a good few weeks through headphones while the rest of the house was asleep.
Anyway hope you enjoy it and thanks for listening.

Great choice, Liam, I love the Cult. Nothing got my toddler son dancing as much as this cut and Wildflower.

Yeah, this really rocks big time Liam! And I agree with comments above, the tones you’re getting out of your guitars is wild! Are you recording using DAW Amps or are you recording by micing your amp? (I know you said you practised with headphones, but the actual recording?). Great performance all round 👍👏🌟👏👍 All the best! 😎🎸😎

Yes it’s through Scarlet Focusrite and Ableton live.
I’m using a captor load box which is kinda the poor man’s Kempler but I think it has enough on there for most of us bedroom guys and it also eliminates the need for micing up your amps.
Although I didn’t record this through headphones, you absolutely can with the Captor so it’s defo something to look into. I think you can get them for a couple hundred dollars….

Honestly I’m not familiar with this band, but as you said this is pure straight rock and you played a brilliant version with a fantastic sound from your guitars, Liam! I didn’t know this captor load box, but for sure, together with your playing skills and the quality of your guitars, it did a great job.

Well !like Guido I’m afraid I haven’t heard of the Cult but whatever you play Liam is always awesome.I loved not only your rhythm but the soloing as well especially in the marks around 1.50!and of course your arrangement and recording is if the highest quality as always 💓💗💖💝💞

Rock It Liam! You are so right about The Cult being under-rated. I’ve never heard a song by them that I didn’t like. Fire Woman is my jam…Fu**in love that song. Ian Astbury has one of my favorite Rock Voices ever, and the guitarist always played short, perfect solos. The Cult had there own unique sound and they didn’t go in for flash or over-production, they just Rocked A$$.
