        Hi everyone, been busy this morning and just realized it’s New Lesson Friday!! How Brian will top last week will be interesting to see…..so to get us in the mood here is one of my favorite Bonamassa tunes….not what you expect….and hopefully inspires Brian to do a Bonamassa lesson one day! Very nice JoB-vid! I love those guitar close-ups… Jeez, how fast time speeds away. Cant believe it’s NLF again…

              @Maradonagol, NLF already! Hey Roberto, I know you have been working on EP 135. Have you got it up to tempo? I have the “easy” part up to tempo and I have the advanced part up to 125% playback, but unfortunately that is about 102 b/m and the difference to tempo at 110 b/m seems about several miles away. I thought Brian said he wasn’t a fast player. I’m not ready for a new one.:(

                  @charjo,

                  Hi John, I was full steam ahead until Tuesday….strung the whole thing together within a few clicks of full speed….then I had to stop to take care of a potential new client….no client, no guitars!! So I haven’t worked it with the backing track since then….only playing the whole thing to keep it in my fingers, so I probably took a step back.

                  You know what has been the hardest part of this lesson for me? The transition from the 12th fret licks into the “easy” voodoo rhythm feels unnatural to me for some reason….when I glitch it is there…my fingers want to go somewhere else…

                  Try adding only 2 bpm at a time, master that, add another 2 until you get to full speed….thats the only way I’ve figured out to work those last few beats to full speed on some things….

                  I’m hoping today is a pure finger-style, acoustic lesson, so I won’t be drawn away from finishing 135!

                  Be well,

                  Roberto

                  I would be totally up for a Bonamassa inspired lesson! Sounds great!

                      Do I hear a bit of Dust in the Wind and House of the Rising Sun in this tune? Nice music and really some fine lyrics.

                      The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete

                      It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete
