The arm-plaster (motorcycle accident last month) has been removed, but the doc said it’ll take about a month to regain the strength in the left arm. Notwithstanding, that … WE CHASE WHAT WE LOVE.I chose ML 075 ( solo with 3 notes) just listened to it once, decided upon 4 notes and making it my own rendition. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I AM PLAYING SOMETHING ABSOLUTELY IMPROMPTU, no previous thought etc. I was so nervous and shaky … the only thought coming to my mind while improvising was “Don’t Stop, just don’t stop” …. And that is a weakness I understood … we need to stop, breathe, feel, relax and play ….. playing continuously or not doesn’t matter.
Looking forward to listening to everyone.

Well Sumanto, being a first impromptu performance I think you’ve done really well and also the phrasing and leaving of spaces was also good. A suggestion though (and I’ve done this before myself) just double check the tuning before you press record, I think your tuning may be slightly out. I hope you’re okay with me saying this. Keep on pickin’ and all the best! 🥸🎸🥸

That’s a big step that you’ve taken Sumanto. Well done – as Garry suggested – checking your tuning is always a good idea. I think you could develop your improv into your own tune – it’s already sounding good.

“Don’t stop” could be applied to our entire journey as musicians. Everyday a little something new is learned or reinforced.
Good job for playing through your injury, keep it up!-

Sumanto I think you are very resilient.
Playing with that band can’t be easy.
You did great with the 4 notes, I know cuz its what I selected for this month challenge.
I agree with other member about the tuning.AndréM

I am glad you are healing each day and week Sumanto! Sometimes getting an injury can teach us how to play something just a tad differently and we grow from it! Like when I used to get cuts in my fingers early on!! Drove me crazy, but made me work on right hand strumming etc. Great job here. Nice use of a simple idea and you made it your own! B

Nice job on the improv Sumanto. And Garry is right – your tuning was just a tad flat. I am sometimes guilty of grabbing my guitar and laying down a track, only to discover later that I have to re-record it because I forgot to tune up first. I guess we’ve all done that.

Hi Sumanto, nice improv. Keep at it, as you’ve got a good start here. The mellow nature of this tune, plus the slight out of tune sound of your guitar created a ’60 haze vibe. Kinda fun!

Great job, Sumanto! I think there is nothing that you couldn’t handle once you put your mind into it. It was brave of you to record an impromptu improvisation, big applause for that! 👍
