Good evening all,
Here is my challenge response Micro lesson submission for June 2022. I chose the lovely lesson ML050… vibrato. I find the 12 bar blues backing track there very hypnotic to play over… Furthermore, the backing track made me think of “You Shook Me” by Led Zeppelin…. so I alternated playing Brian’s vibrato licks with my kind of interpretation of “You Shook Me”…
Listening back to it, I wonder now if I could have had the backing track a little louder…
Looking forward to listening to the other submissions.
Cheers,
Rich F

Yes, you’re right in the groove here Rich. Love the phrasing, your vibrato is great and the slides down the neck add another element to your playing. Well played and all the best! 🥸🎸🥸

playing above the Twelve fret is always a sign of progress, have you ever seen a beginner go past 5th?
that’s good, you do it on time, and it swings well.Where does the white go when snow melts?

Yet another great ML that’s passed me by, but which I shall attempt. Backing track sounds great and your lead fits well over it. Good submission Rich.

Well played Rich. One thing I did notice is that you appear to be using your finger strength to vibrato. You might like to try using you wrist, kind of like opening a door with a round door knob. It is the same for bends. Your wrist is way stronger that your fingers.

Nicely played Rich…I find it much harder to play slowly and you’ve really nailed the timing and tempo
