This is a bit long-winded and I tried to edit it for regular recreational viewing. This is just a long piece of music, one of my all time favorites. My next step is to add a harmonized guitar. Anyway, I have worked on this for years and finally found cause to put it together upon a dare. Hope you enjoy.

          John that was excellent.
          You nailed it
Keep on rockin, and yep the harmonized part would be nice.
I had that song in my prjects for a while now, but the way you just did it
i think it will stay again for a while.
          You rock my friend.

Well played John, a solid groove throughout with some super family photos. We in the UK relate that tune to the famous Top Gear, a Sunday night TV motoring programme.

Okay, John, now I dare you to do “Blue Sky”! Just kidding, that was awesome! You must have D major pentatonic burned into your brain by now. Beautiful family. They say every mother of 3 boys is guaranteed a place in heaven.

Thanks guys for the compliments, and John you got that right. My boys have evolved into great young men but they were a handful growing up…. Back to music, Blue Sky is on my list…. I have noodled around with it but never had any cause or a forum to arrange it and work it out. But now that you suggested it, well it is happening. Thanks again.

Great cover John! Love that song. Never get tired of it. Don’t be rough housing with those boys. They’ll take you down. 🤼‍♂️

Wow man that was seriously impressive. I’m pretty sure it was perfection all the way through. The family pictures added in was a really cool touch. A family full of athletic musicians! Also, it looks like you have a ton to be proud of with those boys of yours! Awesome stuff and thanks for sharing!

Wow John – that’s amazing! I’ve been working on the same song myself for a couple of weeks, and I think I have now learned both parts. Maybe I’ll be posting it soon. There are some tutorials on Youtube, but I found that the best way was to slow down the original and listen to it carefully. How did you go about learning it?

BTW, I printed out the tabs for Blue Sky and learned it 100% about a year ago. I recorded part of it using the jamtrack for EP266. Here’s my version of the merging of EP266 with Blue Sky:

                            Steve,
That is really cool. I remember when you posted this. I really enjoyed it and thought “wow the two are really similar.” I have been toggling between EP266 and Blue Sky bit but not much. As far as Jessica is concerned, I have been noodling around with this for years but like I said never really had a forum for arranging it and performing it. On a dare, I did it. I basically broke it into 4 parts and carefully wove each part into another using a backing track and fades (in and out). The hardest part for me was the solo (3rd part). I basically just winged it and did my own thing. I jammed it out so many times and figured out how to land on the right note to tie each section together. That’s it in a nutshell. This didn’t happen over night. It was a long long time working on it. Next is the harmonized guitars. Anyway, be safe. Thanks for listening.
