Morning folks. I have the office Blues! rather than working, I thought it would be nice to play guitar instead! why not!! Using the BB KING style lesson LEG012 backing track, I tried to use a very slowed down Lick 6 from the Mixing The Major and Minor Pentatonic Scales – EP130. I find I can just manage this sort of speed, with big breaks in between to think about the next move. Oh, how I dream of the day that I can noodle all over the neck and it sounds ok, still waiting for a light bulb moment how it all fits!, have a good day everyone, cheers Phil

Cool tone! Well done!
I’ll have to come and buy a gate and bring my guitar with me!
Soon be up on that stage!
See you soon,
Andrew

Hi Badger,
No. I wasn’t feeling too good and I thought I needed to be feeling fit to risk playing.
Will be going to the next one if I’m ok. It’s a bugger getting old!
Cheers,
Andrew

Some nice licks there, and they definitely work at this slower tempo. I wish I could do this here in our office, but colleagues would probably protest 🙂 Now I can’t wait to get home!

Very, B.B. like. Nicely done, Phil. What office has two guitars on the wall and one in your lap?
Did I hear the phone ringing away while you played on? -

He’s English! “The phone? Somebody waiting on the other end? They’ll still be there when I’ve finished what I’m doing”! It’s made us what we are today! Only joking Phil – I know you have fifty staff to answer the phone!

Very nice work. Your soloing follows my 2 main rules (keep it simple and leave plenty of space). Your call/response phrasing is very good and I also like your use of the lower strings which we often ignore.

Well Done Phil!
You are really moving around the fretboard. I would jam with you if we lived closer!

Cheers Guys! My business partner is away for a month on a Caribbean cruise, so I am “looking after” things whilst hes away! Timber production is down(or lumber as you Americans say) guitar productivity is up!! Yey!!!!

Nicely played Phil. I see you’ve got your got your priorities right when it comes to work or the guitar. Great to see you back into playing again after your recent set-backs.

Ha, I know what you mean about the long breaks needed to think about what you’re going to play next. That’s one of the good things about playing BB King style – you can get away with doing that.
