Hello, after a long time I picked up my two Resonator guitars again. I have now recorded the old hit from 1948 “I can`t be satisfied” by Muddy Waters as a mix with the 1960 Rolling Stones version as a one-man band. The rhythm section consists of the drums, which were the only thing I downloaded, and I also recorded a bass line, but unfortunately there was no room for it in the video. The piano is there with a simple off-beat accompaniment and my wooden resonator guitar in open G tuning with a glass bottleneck plays a few simple blues riffs. Then there’s my electric guitar in normal tuning with a kind of counter-melody and a self-written solo in the 3rd pass. As in the original, my metal resonator guitar in open G plays the main role with a heavy brass bottleneck for the lead part. Unfortunately, as always, the vocals are missing, but I hope you like it as it is.

Dieter, I loved it. It must have taken a lot of effort to put this altogether. Well, it sure came out very fine indeed.

Great work on one my favorite Muddy’s songs! You really showed your multi instrumental talent here, Dieter! Loved especially your beautiful work on piano, and with the two resonators, slide playing and standard playing (man, you’re lucky to own those 2 beauties)! Loved your brilliant arrangement and rendition!

Things have but quite busy in the Thomas household lately, so I haven’t had a lot of time to look at AM 😔 But I’m so pleased that I checked in today on recent posts, before they get swamped with challenge responses, otherwise I might have missed this wonderful submission, Dieter 👏👏👏.
This was just brilliant! Really well played, mixed and quite impressive with all the tracks and instruments – you should be proud of this one 👍🎶😎
