A bunch of musicians in my area who used to play in local pubs are looking for a way to keep jamming together online. We have tried using Zoom but it’s not cut out for music – JamKazam looks good but we find it clumsy to get working. Does anyone have a solution to this?

The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete

It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Yeh, NINJAM and the ninbot server is a funny one. It’s not actually real-time jamming, it’s a kind of time-offset recording, where it seems real-time for you, but the other players have already played what you are hearing, and they will later hear what you have been playing. It does the job if you want to jam along with what other musicians have been up to. But if you want to stop playing and chat with another musician, like “Let’s try this in A”, you can’t. In other words, you couldn’t use it for band practice. But using method described in the video I posted above, you could.
