By chance I found the effect on the sound when choosing a pick.
It’s not clear to me before in the clarity. So far I had always been very similar Picks.
These parts were then always made of nylon.
Now I got a “Turtle Pick”.
This is not made of nylon but from milk stone. Accordingly, synthetically.
Nylon generates a much brighter sound, where the milk stone for a soft sound makes.
This is similar to the attack of a string with a finger.
Therefore, I believe that this sound will also likely reflects the natural sound. If you want it.

You can hear the difference best in an acoustic guitar.
An electric guitar does not show these differences, of course, so much.

My opinion is to this realization that depending on the choice of guitar and what I want to play I choose my pick in the future. Maybe you know it.
Since it is better to hear the difference even once, I have to create a short video.

I hope you have some fun with it.

I’d like to know your experience with picks.

            Thank you Bryce,
This video is just a tool to transport the topic
The most important here are the opinions on the topic.
I look forward to the experience of others.

Personally, I cannot not hear any difference in the electric and can tell very little difference between the two with the acoustic. One sounds slightly more smooth than the other.

I never thought about choosing your pick based on tonal reasons. I have always assumed a pick is a pick.

Then, the video may be not good enough.
In the end, I replace the picks after just one stop.
If I am out of the office I will answer in more detail.

                  Hi Bryce,
for me it is a pity that you cannot hear it.

Generally, it is so that the material and the thickness has an influence on the sound.
Therefore, I have used the same thickness.
Materials of different hardness will produce a different tone.

Material: Nylon / metal / wood / bone and many more

They’re all different hard and so produce a different sound. There are even leather and felt.
Between milkstone and nylon there is no such a big difference. Starkly it is of course, if you wanted to compare metal with felt. This is of course nonsense.
I mean, you can hear the softer tone in milkstone against nylon. As I wrote not really at the electric guitar.

Maybe you try out even occasionally in the music business.

Perhaps the subject is not so very interesting.

                  Many thanks for your comment!!!
                  best regards
