Hey Thanks for the comments! I have a handful of Bryan’s lessons that I can play pretty well but I’d have to say this one is my favorite so far, just a really fun one to play. Looking forward to the next challenge.

Matthew,
Sounds like you’ve been playing for a while because that was really good! You had it all down and the tone and notes all sounded terrific. Congrats!

Matthew – Welcome to the monthly challenge. I’d say you pretty much nailed both parts. Great tone, too. I look forward to hearing more from you.

That was pretty much flawless, and you made it look easy. Great first post! You have the same Blackstar amp as I do. Question: Does yours give out a loud pop every so often? I have a Blackstar tube amp also, and it never gives out a pop.

Welcome Matthew, that was just perfect. Cool sound. Your LP is a beauty.

Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Thanks again for the comments and support! I’ve essentially learned a few chords back in 1986 while in high school and then pretty much dropped guitar for the next twenty years. The desire to play never left me and with the ease of internet lessons to learn from, the guitar became a new found passion again for me. So back around “07 I started to learn a few songs, but still wasn’t really playing much. Then around 2012 I started to really learn how to play guitar, i.e. scales, strumming, licks, timing, basic theory, etc. So I have to say Active Melody and two other web teachers have made a huge impact on my playing. But it’s still about the practicing, which I try for an hour a day, if I’m lucky.

Hey Sunjamr, Thanks. No my amp has never given me any pops. Its been a awesome sounding amp for me so far, owned it for 2 years, and a great amp for the price too.

I think thats the only Les Paul on this challenge, and it sounded great. People forget that Les Paul himself basically played country music. You made this sound effortless, and the tone was fantastic.
