I really enjoy this one. And the second part is just some guitar noodles. Have a nice day you all!

Interesting you chose to do this one without the backing track but you pulled it off very well 👍.

Your expression is beautiful and your vibrato technique is second to none. Excellent playing Tao 🙌🙌

PS: you were fast on that ‘Mandolin Style’ picking. I couldn’t quite manage that so well.

              Thank you Geoff!

I’m kind of lazy and just recorded it with my Iphone. So, no backing tracks and shitty sound. But it’s always fun to learn something new. 🙂

Hi Tao, I used to be that way but, eventually, got tired of crummy sound quality. Not saying your sound quality was bad but you would really hear the difference with a half decent recording interface.

At the end of the day I purchased a focus rite recording interface that I use with a combination of Ableton software for sound and Da Vinci Resolve for the video editing. Took a little while to figure it all out but it was worth it in the end. I mean, you are good, so why do all this work only to be let down by less than optimal recording at the end of it all. A decent recording interface is not expensive and the software was free so cost was not an issue.

At least, that’s the way I look at this for what it’s worth.

Thank you for the advice! I will definitely check out an interface for recording. 🙂

                  Tao,
You’ve really got the touch on this one. Very nicely put together. Nice phrasing, nicely played.

I hope you’re familiar with Duke Robillard. If not, look him up. Stretchin’ Out Live, Duke’s Mood, Duke’s Blues – great stuff, right up your alley.

                  Very tasty!
                  Bruce
I’ll have to look up 591.

Just focus on the notes you DID get right . . . Frank Vignola

I’ll certainly check out Duke R.

Flawless Tao. Loved the dynamics and overall expressive nature! Yes, the mandolin speed strums and faster single lines very impressive also. 👏👏🌟👏👏 All the best! 😎🎸😎

You got some mighty riffs in there.
Just curious you and Guo Tao related?
