        Well, at least Jazzy!

I hope to be able to play Jazz one day and this one is certainly a foot in the door. Thanks as always Brian. Can’t wait until tomorrow to see what’s in store….

        Brad aka Derek Blue

This is my Epiphone Dot with some modifications. It produces some nice Jazz tones I think….

Nice one, Brad. I’m also really enjoying learning that lesson, and EP370 as well, in my recent quest to get better at jazz. What kind of effects are you using, or are you just playing clean? I’ve been experimenting with some improv over the jamtrack for EP004, which is another good one.

            Hi Stve,

Just a little comptession and a tiny bit if spring reverb using the amp. Tone rolled all the way off to dampen the highs. Playing through a Blues Jr.

As usual, I record just a little too early and probly should wait to get the timing and legato better. I like it alit ghough. Challenging lesson for sure.

Hey Brad. Smooth Jazz playing and I agree with others, really like your tone coming from your Epiphone Dot. Is that a Gretsch G5420T on the wall? When I win Lotto I’m tossing up between the Gretsch (Fairlane Blue) or an Epiphone (Dot, Casino or Riviera). I’m more of a Blues, Chet Akins, Jerry Reed player. What’s your preference? Also couldn’t go out and try playing these at the moment anyway (even if I did win Lotto) because of Lockdown here in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. All the best!

Epiphone sounds great… Awesome jazzy tone. Your timing here without a backing track is definitely impressive. Well done!
