EP282 – Slow Dark Blues

One of my favorites lessons! I put in my favorites acoustic blues just when I joined AM and now I can submit it (even if not yet perfect!).

Very nice Guido, you played that with some finesse. This lesson has to be just the greatest melody Brian has composed on AM. I posted this Nov ‘18 in an open challenge and remember the thrill I got from playing it.

Thanks Richard! Yes I agree about this melody, there are only two chords, but the progression in measures number of each chord (6 measures Bm, 1 measure G at the beginning, then 4-2 and at the end 2-2) through the piece makes the difference! It’s very interesting to study also as a composition!

I love this melody more than anything else by Brian! You played it beautifully with a great acoustic sound. Great ending too but I wished you continued more on those high notes up the fretboard!

Really excellent playing Guido, the timing is perfect and the tone spot on. Not easy on this one with all the space Brian has left in the melody. Like Jola, I was interested to hear where you were going to take it at the end there. You will have to give us a part two!
