I came across this old submission while deleting political posts from my FB page. I don’t think I’ve heard anything else like this from Brian. It sounds like the soundtrack to some animated hijinks. I made some additions in the middle section.

Hmmm, what would drive anyone to remove political comments? I wonder why? 🙂 🙂 🙂
That was some stellar playing John. And another lesson uncovered that I never listened to before. The guitar work is outstanding but the thing I noticed right away was that walking bass line in the backing track. I’m learning bass now and I have got to learn that bass line for sure. It’s a very fast paced piece so I might need to slow it down a tad, but thanks for turning me on to this one.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Hey Michael, no reason other than the negativity is getting so tiresome. That’s what is so great about the AM forum.

From about 2/3 years ago John?
Played so well, fluent, melodic and wandered off piste for quite a while. I much preferred your version as you threw in a few notes which emphasised the blues beautifully.Richard

This one will take a lot longer for me to master, but the lesson and John’s version of it is now officially in my favorites.

Mind blowing, John! I think you have advanced to a new level. I don’t think I’ve ever heard you play this fast before, and so smoothly! Just great playing overall, and one of your best yet, I think. Loved the fancy note additions in the middle section.
10 out 10 for sure!!

Nice one John! Fast and smooth like Larry said plus your technique with the slides and bends is outstanding. Did I mention the tone being perfect for this? Oh yeah, your improv part fit right in. I love these posts of older lessons that remind me to go back and play them again.

Sounds great John. Raucous, fluid and out of the box sounding. That’s the quickest I’ve seen your fingers fly. They be moving. Nicely done.

Man John that was fast, I hope you don’t become a shredder, lol.
Sweet playing.
I did listen to this one before, but the speed is out of limit for me.AndréM

Very nice work and some great improvs on this too 👏 🙌.
I recall working on this some time ago and it is very fast paced.

If I was in the police force John I would’ve given you a speeding ticket! Wow! And there are players who play fast but forget the musicality of the solo and there are those that can play fast but can still express themselves, allow the music to still breathe and be in total control. You’re definitely in the latter. One of your best and you’ve got a long list of excellent performances. All the best! 😎🎸😎

Yeah bit of Hanna Barbera meets Santana I’d say lol.
Joking aside that was stellar playing John.
Really liked your vibrato and edge of break up tone.
Again your mixolydian discipline looked like it came in handy for this one.
Well done.
Liam.

WOW, John, that was an impressive performance of a lesson I hadn’t come across before – I often use the term “twiddly bits” to describe Brian’s fast runs, but it doesn’t do this one justice as this had SO much in it from start to end! Kudos to you. – Mark 👍🎶😎
