I was just working on this before I listened to yours. Great playing and improvs. Your subtle timing variations sound very professional. I can play it around this tempo but not sure I can ever reach Brian’s manic 150 b/m.

Agree John, I’m going to take my time with this one..really is a top favorite and to get it to 150 the way Brian plays it so smooth demands visualizing every beat and measure.. hybrid picking is a must..learning the banjo rolls with or without a pick would get this to 150 speed tempo..i’ll be practicing this to speed hopefully today or tomorrow.. great lesson!

Sounded great, really nice telecaster tone. Maybe the worst video quality I have yet seen, but it sure put the focus on the guitar and the sound, which were really nice. I will have to put this lesson on my to do list.

Nicely played. I dig your tone on this one.

Anyway… very cool, lots of motion in that one, you handled it really well.

Great playing John, you’ll have it up to speed in no time.

Great job, I haven’t listened to this yet so not sure about the tempo, I thought it was quite cool at the tempo you played it.
You are able to put these together pretty quick, tells me you’re pretty good!

I almost got it now but as duffy pointed out horrendous video on this blu studio c5 phone.. I’d really like to show my right hand up close with this lesson.. but the left hand too is important to position finngers for the slides/pulloffs/hammeron/ lot of cool tricks .. once i take the time to polish this one to a high gloss shine i’ll post it ,, trying guys..sorry about the poor video/audio..I’m just very grateful Brian is serving us steak and potato lessons on HD with all the quality side dishes! slow fast jamtrack with or without guitar.. the soundslice is simply the best..i full screen it adjust the tempo slow..fastest way I found to memorize and practice the tab right is to repeat each few bars (play the licks repeatedly until you get it down using both the tab and listening to Brian and watching brian’s right or left hand while practicing with the soundslice … let it really sink in..move to the next measure/lick and repeatthat over and over until It feels smooth and sounds right. it really should feel smooth and comfortable playing it,,. with or without a pick too,, oh by the way I use at least 1mm when hybrid picking..(i like a nylon 1.30mm pick ) good luck with this one..John, I’ll have to do much better with audio video I know! peace out folks!

Hi John, it was played very harmoniously. Just great the entire time.

Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.
