That was great Doug! I have yet to try playing slide yet. I will eventually get around to it. Any advice?

Got the touch, feel, rhythm, and very good timing for a South Chicago slide man.

The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete

It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

                      Doug,
You’ve inspired me to return to my slide quest…..(I’ve half a dozen collecting dust)
Nice playing on the straight up side as well. BTW…for the membership, Brian has a pseudo slide lesson in the style of Elmore James if I am not mistaken. It’s not really slide but it sounds like it.

Hi Doug, wow, that’s a beautiful tune! When I saw only nine comments and you wrote you were “trying” the slide, I was ready to pull out the earbuds, but if this is what you sound like trying, look out world, that’s just out of this world, your blending thirds are wonderful!
