Hello!
Yesterday I sold my Takamine guitar ‘cos I didn’t use it much. This guitar was best for strumming and soloing with a pick, but does not fit for finger style because of narrow neck (42,5mm). It sounds gorgeous like Takamines does.
Let’s say her goodbye now.

Lights, very groovy jazzy playing!
Super sounding lead!
Man, I’d have bought your guitar😕.
The narrow neck would have been just right for my small fingers! And it has a nice sound. Did you buy another one?

A great send off for your guitar Lights. I’m sure your guitar will miss your expertise and signature ‘Snap’. I had a Takamine 12 String and sold it as part of the deal for my Maton Acoustic close to 30 Years ago! Time flies! As Denise asks above: Are you buying a new one? All the best!

That’s some smooth playin’ there, Meelis. Oh no, you’ve sold the biggest guitar in the world. They’re hard to part with.

Sounds great, Lights. One of my favorites. That’s EP063, I believe.

P.S. Maybe you traded in your Takamine on an electric hollow body guitar?! LOL -

Wonderful jazzy playing, Lights! Very cool!
I am now checking out EP063, as you have inspired me to try to learn this one.
Happy Saturday all!

That’s a nice way to say goodbye, Lights! Beautifully played, great lesson too – so thank you for the reminder! Now that you mentioned that, I can see how narrow the neck is compared to your hand and your fingers look crammed! I would have loved the narrow neck (like Denise) but probably not for fingerstyle, just like you said.

Nicely played Lights. A fitting farewell to the old reliable Takamine. Mine hangs on the wall most of the time but when I do pull it down it’s stayed in tune and has a nice full tone.

Nice one, Lights. Lots of fingerstyle players use Takamine guitars, but when I look at videos of them playing, their fingers are often long and very thin…..not like my short fat fingers. I’ve heard that some Seagull guitars have wider necks.

What the what? You aren’t listing your tracks? That was way better than good. You’ve got some serious chops, sir. Guitars come and go, but your music is a marker for where you are as a player, and well worth sharing. Release the Krakens, go on now, git! 🙂

Hi Meelis, just wanted to say I loved your playing of this one.
I could swear that I have heard a change of style on this one from you. Main thing is you have lightened up on your strumming of the chords on this one and everything just fitted really well. Keep doing that because you sounded like a pro playing this one – seriously.
Excellent work and definitely the best I have heard from you so far.

Nice sendoff Lights, It definitely has a beautiful rich sound for chord playing. But if a guitar doesn’t fit the hand or fingers it’s time to find the right one. Your’e playing is always enjoyable. SNAP!

I did this one before Meelis very fun to play.
You chose a good one to play to say goodbye to your Takamine.
It sounded awesome.AndréM

Great playing Lights, love those jazzy chords! That is an awesome looking and sounding guitar. Hope she’s in good hands now as she was with you! My acoustic also has very thin neck, feels like a strat but that is why I love it. Agree that is not best for fingerstyle though.
If interested, sharing this video I was watching the other day, for more inspiration on how to “spice up” those chords 🙂 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfxMCqFWqvc

You put the guitar in the limelight and I’ll agree with you, it’s not very suitable for fingerstyle. A Lakewood comes to mind in this context. These are great for fingerstyle and have a great sound. Do you think of alternatives?
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Going/Gone but not forgotten and a fitting send off. EP069 sounded right at home on her with your smooth playing. Nice attack on the strumming. Awesome performance.
