Hi All,
For some reason my desktop won’t play the backing tracks straight off the site. They work fine if I download them. I have the same problem with Soundcloud stuff. I’m running XP sp3. Does anyone know what I need to do?
Thanks -

Hi,
I have a hunch you’re using a Firefox Browser –[strong] and they won’t play any Java Applications[/strong] — which is what the Backing Tracks are. So you have to download the tracks, then play them with your Media Player of choice, I use Windows Media Player as default. The reason Firefox did this in one of their updates was they considered Java a ‘Security Risk’, and disabled it in a Firefox update, maybe 6 months ago now. And getting Java Apps to run in Firefox is *possible* but its beyond my computer abilities.
Soooo the easiest way to make Java Apps ‘clickable’ (play them in your browser) is use your Internet Explorer Browser for opening Active Melody. There’s a Firefox add-on called ‘IE View’ that I use here it and it works fine.
Hope this helps.

This should be working now in Firefox and Safari – if anyone can’t get it to work let me know!

Thanks Brian, now it works on Firefox for me also. Never could get it to work, so I used chrome.
The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete
It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete
