Playing hooky from work to day and thought I would do a quick search on looper backing tracks, Came across this site from BOSS which will allow you to transfer loops to your RC’s memory files ..BOSS Tone Central.. If you scroll down the page it will show which of the BOSS loopstations supported, download and install the “BOSS Tone Studio” to have download access to all these great loops.

Thanks for that one Billy, but don’t forget you can drop any of Brian’s backing tracks onto a Boss RC3 Looper once converted to a WAV format. Not sure whether the RC30 model is any different.

Good idea. I’ve never done that, because I like building up my own backing tracks using the looper. The bass line was always a problem, so eventually I gave up and bought an inexpensive bass. In some ways, a bass is easier to play than a guitar, because you only have to think about one string at a time. Usually. But if you get one, I highly recommend getting a short scale 4 string bass, rather than a full-sized one.

And now for some looping homework: This guy (who looks like Joe Cocker’s brother) does a nice demo of using an RC-30 about 3 minutes into his video. An A/B switch like he uses to change tracks is commonly used by most RC-30 users. I have a Boss A/B switch which is smaller and was not too expensive.

Great video Steve, never ceases to amaze me the amount of taleted people out there, The chap does look a bit like Joe right enough..

Yes Richard, you are right about the backing tracks from Active Melody, The Boss studio gives options not only of created loops but also gives you the ability to select individual bass or drum loops so you can create your own loop, handy tool if like me you can’t play or don’t have a bass or access to drums..
