I recently purchased (my first) a 12 fret Taylor Nylon string guitar. The bass is awesome it rings forever but the high B and E seem to get lost any ideas on what strings I might try that would be better?? Not sure what is on it now?

I use D’Addario EJ46 Hard Tension. Never had any problem with them. Haven’t really experimented with others tho.

Interested myself..dadario always seemed to break with the bunch I used on my little yahama flamenco.. But I think now if not playing a guitar it is best to loosen them below standard tuning..I have found that out before casing a nylon acoustic especially.. But you must because all wood moves even electric guitars. I learned this after the fact..but yes would like to know good nylon string set..I prefer hard not softs

@sunburst
Hi John,
I’m with George agree. High tensile strength of the strings makes for a slightly better Sustain.
I have been using the Savarez 500ARJ good results.Wilfried
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

I purchased the Savarez 500AJ instead of the ARJ because the person on the live chat with Strings and Beyond recommended them instead of the 500ARJ for the sound I was looking for. The 500AJ strings are much brighter than what was on it originally (I do not know what they were) and the tension is much harder than the old ones. They sound great, the bass is strong as ever. I suspect that will all ways be true with that guitar, but now the sound is much more balanced. The E and B ring through much better than before. I like the higher tension too since it seems easier to control because I am used to steel strings. Thanks for yo
