Hey everyone,
i just found in german former ‘Ebay’Kleinanzeigen (classifieds) a very special rare limited guitar,
traditional handmade by Heritage / in the old Gibson factory in Kalamanzoo. As I remember some years ago here was one member a great Alvin Lee fan and he said he would like to own one of these special guitars.
I cannot afford it but i think this one is a very interresting, well build and nice sounding guitar.
Most is written in german, butsomehow there exist also a english version of ‘Kleinanzeigen’.

RudiThat was probably me saying that I’d like to have one of the Alvin Lee Signature models. Alvin & Kim Simmonds are my fav players from the UK
Interestingly, Alvin’s guitar, known as Big Red, was reproduced by Gibson, Heritage and Tokai – I don’t know of any other player who had faithful reproductions made of their guitar. Sure Epiphone, Fender & Squier have slapped stickers on guitars calling them a “Signature model” but the the remakes of Big Red are ver convincing.
Alvin retired Big Red to a vault and began using the Tokai guitars on the road – someone had offered Alvin $1 million for Red and he decided to protect Red from being stolen. Now if we could just play like Alvin…. LOL
Scats end at the 0:50 min mark on the first song – the great Clarence Clemons on sax on Jenny Jenny
