Just wondering what the Alvarez AP70/66 players have their string action set to. Mine is currently 4/64 on the bass side and 3/64 on the treble side at the 12th fret. Thanks.
Ivan
I had an Alvarez Masterworks parlor for a while, don’t remember the model number, but the string height is set on these like any other acoustic
Having said that, the string height at the nut is the first place that you want to get right. If its too, high, your guitar will start being out of tune at the 2nd fret and keep getting more out of tune as you go up the neck. That’s the reason that an electric will sound bad at the 2nd fret when playing the E pentatonic scale.
Below are 2 articles that outline the process to set string height at the nut and the bridge.
One final word, I wouldn’t use anything over 11’s on a parlor, not enough bracing to hold up long term (my opinion FWIW)

Thanks GnLguy. I’ll have a look at that link.
