I’ve been noticing all the acoustic blues players who use stomp boxes, so I decided to do some research. I started here:

But those are all super expensive for what you get, and to me, they don’t sound that great. I was after one that would have a booming bass thump, like John Lee Hooker sitting on his front porch. Then I ran across this one, which sounds great and is cheap and easy to build. Much cheaper than building a new front porch.

I can’t help but notice that quite a few AM members have trouble with rhythm and timing, and people have suggested playing with a metronome or drum track. But there is an entire school of music theory that says moving all or part of your body with the rhythm is by far the fastest and best way to get in the groove. How could you ever stomp your foot to a steady beat, then play the guitar to a different beat?

Never really thought about a stomp box, this is a good idea!

Me too, I’m still busy trying to compare guitar tone through an amp playing clean! Trust me it is really interesting!
