My resolution for 2021; learn, play and record a lesson a week, in no particular order, but focusing on solo compositions, where no jam track is needed.

For this week, I gave this bluegrass tune a try, really nice one!

Juan, I really admire what you’re doing here in challenging yourself to learn a piece each week. I lasted about a month last year and couldn’t keep up the pace. Well played and all the best!

This exercise is not about learning guitar, but music. Going back to the basics: playing music in time. Some people do not need that because they feel the beat instinctively, but is not my case. But Doing these weekly challenges has helped me a lot. My sense of achievement comes from playing them to the end, to the beat. Later on, i hope i can focus on playing nicer, muting strings better, etc but for now the focus is on the beat

i follow you Juan, after nearly a year focusing on freatboard discovery (i never soloed before AM), i think my second year objective will be to feel the beat and play in rhythm, and also for me, it’s not easy: as soon as i start playing, i stop counting beat, or listening back track, etc.
          yet another challenge.

Where does the white go when snow melts?

Keep grinding Juan. I love the commitment you made to yourself. This is how you get good at the Guitar. Keep playing and keep posting here. Sounding good brother! love the solo-you did a really nice job on that.
