Great piece and very well played. I guess “Forgetting everything” when asked to play something is a common issue; even I am thinking of learning up two popular songs.

Learning two show numbers was a wise decision Vincent. We’ve all been embarrassed at some point or other with a total blackout as to what or how to play. Your electric showpiece was spot on and would certainly impress an impromptu audience.

My strategy exactly. Very rarely, if ever, does someone ask me to play.
But if I have an AM challenge or other recording that I like I send it around and say, “hey listen to this please.😃”

It really comes through with your use of techniques like vibrato and bends, and with your touch in sounding out notes. Inspiring to hear. Your points on playing for others are also spot on – it takes very intentional work to learn pieces for performance, and for maintaining a state of readiness.
