What a nice surprise. Love it. Thanks Brian
Ray P
Beautiful.
Thanks, Brian. I really like the Shorts.
This will be in the remake of The Godfather.
Love that somber sound !
And that E7 b9 !
Thanks so much every week is a treat!
I am not fond of the “Shorts”.
It may be ok for the advanced player but not instructive for some one at my level.
I do love the tunes played but need the reinforcement of verbal instruction to really benefit from the exercise .
These are extras… something I decided to start doing in addition to the deep-dive Friday lessons.
I love this! But it should have a proper title- Boulevards de Paris or something similar.
Django and Stephane would love this one, and so do I. Needs a B part starting on the IV…
I agree great compulsive tune, needs some more
Brilliant, a touch of the gipsy jazz
Brian,
Very nice and fun to play.
Thank You
Love it!
Very nice composition.. I think the “Somber” in the title made me skip this one at first. It is more “Pensive” , and one of your other subscribers suggested a great one, “Boulevards des Paris” which sounds more like it!
Looking forward to playing this one tonight. Thank you Brian.
Really like this. Smooth Dave
the man is so talented!
thanks! I love it.
started to play it.
lot’s of FUN!
It reminds me of Manha De Carnival. Beautiful – will be fun to learn this. Fabulous as always Brian!
This was really interesting, would be interested to know a music theory breakdown of this piece. There’s often some key tones that make the mood have that “Spanish” sound.
Just discovered this micro lesson. Very nice. To my ear, it has a sort of gypsy jazz feel. But the progression itself reminds me of an arrangement of “St. James Infirmary Blues” that I’ve been playing for years. I’m definitely going to work some of these ideas into the song. Thanks.
Love this short piece❤️
