I like seeing T-Shirts from places where I lived nearby. I see the Grand Canyon T, and now an Anchorage Alaska shirt! You get that from Bryce? Need a shirt from Glacier Park Montana next.

Nice little lesson Brian. I like the licks in A and B. My goal is to be able to improvise over the IV and V chord changes.

I like it. Easy to learn and you could take a portion of this and insert it over a chord in a blues progression when you aren’t sure what to play, and it will sound great.

Great lesson as always Brian! Just a little clarification on the timing please. Are you coming in with the open E on the 4th beat and starting a new measure with the G#?

This was great. I have been working on this on and off for about 2 months and finally got it. If you listen to how you play it there are a few nuances that are at first not apparent but the more I practiced it the more I heard and worked out. Anyway, I appreciate the simple lessons because I can finish them. Each simple lesson I finish carries me a little further to one a little more complex. But, I do like the easy ones. Thanks to your lessons I have come a long way. I’m 71 years old and didn’t start until I was 60 so I’m doin’ ok and loving it. Thanks for all you do.

Great lesson! Goes well with 054 as they both use that awesome movable riff. As with 054, I really like how quickly you can learn it since there is not too much going on at once. You don’t have to be trying to get a difficult rhythm pattern along with hard/new chords.

Plus, it is another 12 bars to pull out, and if it sounds good (and it does if you play it at all well) you can always go around a few times.

Thanks, Brian. Please do more of these.

Oops. Correction to above post. It is 8 bars, not 12.

Love these micro lessons. So much goodness packed in there to savor. I believe I observed how you can lead to to the V while still on IV chord measure, & alternating to the IV of a chord of the second chord in the I, IV, V. Practical fundamentals rolled into a cool composition. Thanks!

bought a really nice martin guitar 3/4 years ago, Came to the realization that it doesn’t come with instructions on how to play it. Love your easy “call & response” lessons. They keep me interested in the guitar….probably should have started before I turned 60.

    Very cool lesson Brian!

I really glad to be a member. These stand alone tunes are exactly what I am after. I find your simpler tunes so much fun as I can manage them. To many turns in the road I get lost.
