MicroLesson: 051 – Jam Band Style Rhythm Guitar Lesson

Description

In this MicroLesson (ML051) you’ll learn how to play the rhythm that was used in lesson EP245. I had several requests from site members for me to break down the rhythm part for that lesson. The tab and the on-screen tab viewer includes the strum patterns as well. If you’d like to view the original lesson that includes the lead part, visit EP245 – Jam Band Blues Lead Guitar Lesson

Hi Brian, neat lesson. It’s those small details or embellishments that really add to this lesson. Thank you!

    Brian,
Every lesson you present is a light bulb moment for me. I love this one and will start practicing tonight,
I’m also (still) mesmerized by the Little Sister, can’t take my eyes off it! πŸ˜πŸ˜‰

Greatstuff it would have been a shame to let this piece fall by the wayside , most advance guitarist should be able to work this out but beginners would have struggled .I guess i’m intermediate because i was playing a C instead of Gsus 4 lol . It feels very Beatles to me at the B minor to E7 section . A fantastic rhythm to loop and easy to transpose to boot .

Very cool rhythm pattern, Brian! In some way, it also reminds me of the Doobie Brothers’ “Listen to the Music”.

I am an “intermediate” player at very best – and just a beginner in a lot of your lessons – but even the stuff I cannot play … there are so many “take aways” that my playing is slowly but surely improving!! Thank you for all of it!!
