Description
In this MicroLesson, I’ll show you how to play a 1, 4, 5 chord progression using the E chord shape. I’ve also included some fill licks to get you thinking about how to improvise lead over this progression.

The lesson has “skips” and places where the audio and video cut out. Very disconcerting.
I’m using Win 10, Google Chrome (latest version) and a fiber optic line, so no bandwidth problems.
Thanks!
Tom
Tom, I can’t replicate that on my end. Try clearing your browser cache and restarting your browser.
Figured it out, it was Cortana jamming things up!
Seems Microsoft did an update a few nights ago, every thing works properly now!~
Thanks!
Ps Congrats on the 200th lesson and the new series!
I really like all of these- great ideas..but i must confess- I like the slow version with more explanation…I know people have complained to you about too much talking but I always found the explanations extremely helpful
this chord progression sounds like iimmy buffet…havanna day dreamin
Hey Brian.. this is a nice one. I like these quick lessons.
Using an E shape to create the 1-4-5 chords, what a trick… The different methods you demonstrate to make it more simple to understand guitar theory is awesome.. Maybe you could give us a section on root position on the caged shapes. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the concepts.. Great lessons. Thanks
Hi Brian.. Just a quick note to say a big thank you for all of your lessons… My head is exploding as I just can not store all the info…. I just love this site and have learned so much.
New member here and I just wanted to say MicroLessons like this one (plus all the other great stuff on this site) is EXACTLY what my playing needed to give it a boost right now. Thank you Brian!
