Description
In this guitar lesson, you’ll learn how to play a 12 bar blues shuffle with some interesting fill licks to spice things up. This composition is played solo guitar (meaning no accompaniment is required) and you can play this on electric or acoustic guitar. I’ll provide all of the theory behind the notes so that you can improvise and make this your own. I’ll also show you how to easily transpose this to any key.

What can I say Brian! Terrific. The lesson should be supplied with every guitar sold and you should be made watch it before you leave the guitar store.
Another belter.

Thanks for another 12 bar blues Brian. I love this lesson and we don’t have to switch guitars this week! Happy 4th but be safe. It helps to have all of our fingers to play .

Hi Brian,
I had a bit of time off guitar this week so to get back to this great lesson is a wonderful treat. I hope I shall be able to get to play this competently ASAP because this embodies my goals in being able to play blues its simple but ‘O’ so nice and bluesy ….I love the fill licks. I am sure if you put out a few more of these you wont get too many complaints!

Awesome lesson. As we say in Australia this is the Ducks Nuts.

Beautiful! I must say that I think the slower versions of these give much more leeway for expression than the full-speed one. You have a great way of presenting these lessons.

This is one of your best – many thanks. Lots to work on, and the lesson signposts several avenues to explore. This and lesson EP152 have really helped a lot.

This unaccompanied type of lesson is the most satisfying. They are the most relaxing to play and have a completeness that solos (no matter how complex and “dazzling”) don’t provide.
More please !!

Thanks Brian, another awesome lesson!

Love these down and dirty, no accompaniment arrangements. This is blues at its roots. and I could play it all day. I don’t quite make the connections Brian does but by playing enough of this stuff I know it will all reveal itself in time. More of this, please, Brian!

I thought I was doing good to learn the notes and be able to play it. But trying to get it in time, that’s the really hard part.
