George Thoroughgood would be proud of this one, Brian!! Nice upbeat variant from playing your typical shuffle blues and definitely something we can all expand upon as well!! Great job!!

Again Brian - yet another great lesson…this one only took me a morning before it started sounding ok…I think you have a an excellent style of teaching - just the right amount of recapping for me - well worth the subscription for the premium membership…I hope you and your family have a great Christmas and keep up the good work! BTW:  Great advice @ 13:39   In my opinion this is the sign of a mature and an intelligent instructor in knowing when it’s enough for the moment and emphasis working on what’s been presented to that point before moving on.  Outstanding Brian.  Your making my decision on whether or not to join the Premium Member a whole lot easier.

This is OUTSTANDING Brian.  To boot, a slower download w/tab helps the student to develop with the song before getting up to speed.  Simply Outstanding!

This is geared towards beginners ? He has lost touch on what a beginner is. A beginner could never pull this off, not even close. I’m an intermediate and I have to stay focused to pull it off decently. Once again, his lessons are for people who don’t need lessons. He’s geared towards advanced players. My suggestion is if you’re a beginner or early intermediate I’d leave this site until you got better. He will just leave you frustrated and ready to give up and quit and he doesn’t explain the whys of what he is doing so you don’t learn anything. He’s obviously a great player and a great guy but this site is just more of a showcase for him to show off his talents and get paid for it. At the very least just use the free membership. Also, tabs so far for me have either not matched what he plays in lesson or are incomplete. Videos buffering all the time, if I rewind then I have no sound. My buffering issue didn’t start until he changed the Mobil format. The blues guitar course is very weak. The Hendrix rhythm course isn’t in Jim’s style.  But it is just $7.00 a month..I’m sure you pull a nugge or two out a month.

I love John Lee Hooker. I have been listening to him more and more these days. If you have not heard “Boogie on Russian Hill” you are in for a real treat. The boogie rhythm on “Russian Hill” is simple, compelling, almost hypnotic. Check it out! Boom Boom!

I’m really enjoying this one as this is a style I’ve wanted to play for a long time but always had trouble finding the heart of the groove (honestly, as a new member, I’m finding it overwhelming trying to stick to only one of the lessons because there are SO many here, and they’re all excellent!).

I noticed one small mistake in this one. When you go to the A section, you keep referring to the “third” string, but you mean the “fourth” string (D, not G). Took me a little while fo figure out why it sounded wrong when I was playing it. No biggie, it was a good exercise for me.

I love this groove. I am wondering which songs you might suggest for this groove in E. ?
