Brian’s been on fire!! Brian’s producing these fun lessons that are a complete blast to play but then we all walk away with super cool and useful concepts!! Great work, Brian…….challenging us to develop and then giving us rock solid (or blues solid) theory and understanding…..it doesn’t get much better than this!!

This is a fantastic lesson in its self, Brian.  But as you say, it allows one to ‘get out of the box’ when soloing ie. introducing some of these chords and devices themselves to provide ‘surprise’.  Such a rich seam here! Thank you.

Thank you Brian, your lessons are cool…. As i have told you, before I play guitar without any understanding of Pentatonic scales.

Thank you for all your lessons. It makes me feel that i come to understand the guitar quite well.

    Thanks you are great.

    Brian,
I am still enjoying this solo chords lesson. You did a superb job of explaining some of the realistic short cuts with chords and how to improvise with them. I enjoy most of your lessons and seem to be making real progress for a relative newbie; but this one was a cut above. Thanks once again; your lessons are certainly varied and challenging and I look forward to logging on each day. Have a good day.

Brian,I just joined your site today. I have seen your videos on youtube.com and really like the sound of what you play.  One request however, is there a way that you could present the lesson first by going through the chords, etc. and then go back and add your comments/theory?  This lesson is great but very hard for me to follow.  The tab certainly helps but as a beginner/intermediate player, it would be helpful for me to have the material presented and then I can go back and put the theory into practice. Just a suggestion. Thank you.

Good lesson, but I find the tab player does not bring up a full screen option on iPad . Anyone else experiencing this ?

Sweeeeeet!! Brian, you have a unique way of cutting through the bs theory and getting to the action! I’ve been reading on triads for month’s, but this lesson thought me that the best way to learn is to DO! Thank you for making it simple. Awesome teaching.
