Why don’t you mention that this is an extension of the Carl Perkins lesson? Can you comment on the difference between the lessons in terms of key, or any other interesting theory?
Carl, it does have a little rockabilly feel to it I suppose, and you’re right - similar to the 2nd part of the Carl Perkins lesson. good catch :) The difference is Carl Perkins lesson is in G, and this is in E

A great lesson, Brian! What a gift it is to be able to learn this valuable information from a gifted teacher and guitarist. This piece capitalizes perfectly on the guitar’s versatility, in being able to play rhythm, lead and bass, and using all those tools to complement one another. I think that’s super cool. A nice way to jam with yourself - yes, and lots of room to get creative and improvise. But in my opinion, a very impressive performance piece all in itself. It is the kind of tune and arrangement that will make people feel good and get into the beat. I had fun making up an intro and an ending - mostly by just coming up with some variations on the great licks and ideas that are taught in the lesson. Actually, I have never had this much fun playing an acoustic guitar!

Just one question….Do you think it may be possible to print the chord names above the chords in the tabs ?? I would like to be able to relate the chords to the tab configurations…Just a thought .
Good thought by JLB as at my level I suppose I don’t always visual see on the tab what chord is played.
Brian one other question: how long do your video posting stay on line as I am just new to your site and starting to look at and study. Can they be saved if I wanted to do so? Lastly, if I don’t see the reference # do you have a “search mode” as I don’t see one? Thank you

Lance, try closing all open tabs in your browser and restarting your browser. It’s definitely browser related.

Now that I have revisited this lesson some 3 years later, I just want to say (although you would definitely deny it), you are a dang genius! I am a far more accomplished guitarist now – although I still have eons to go – but you are huge reason for my significant development as a player and musician. I have never received better value on a modest investment of money, and you deserve all the success that has come your way, and more!
