For those using a Yamaha THR10ii, what DAW are you using to record with. I tried the Cubase 15 software that was included with the amp but I can’t seem to get a driver that works with my PC laptop or my iPad. I also tried to record on my iPad using GarageBand but GB won’t recognize the THR as a device. Any advice is appreciated…thanks.

          Hi Ivan,

I use Cubase with mine but it’s so long ago that I started using it that I can’t remember if the drivers had to be installed separately or not.
Are you using a Windows PC or an Apple Mac?

I’m using Cubase, the software that was included with the amp. I use Win PC and an iPad. I think I’m done with it, returning it today. I’ve read quite a few complaints on line about driver problems, particularly volume when recording with USB. It’s too bad because the amp sounds great as a stand alone for a practice amp. Thanks for replying.

You can download the drivers for Windows from the Yamaha website. You need the Yamaha Steinberg drivers.

              This should take you there….

              https://uk.yamaha.com/en/musical-instruments/guitars-basses-amps/downloads/

I didn’t have issues with the drivers when I used it on Windows (I’m Mac now).
The recordings were on the quiet side when plugging a guitar straight in but you can up the gain in the Daw. It’s digital so that shouldn’t be an issue.

If you boost the input with pedals, the volume is louder.

I found cubase to be difficult to work with. I use Reaper. I remember now being troubled by the same issue you have. What I had to do was change my Audio System from ASIO to WAVE OUT. I don’t know why, but this worked for me.
