I actually grew up alongside of the Mighty Muddy Mississippi River while I was a child. The memories are in this song I wrote for my father.

It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Wow, that was really good and very emotional. It had me thinking of my Dad. Thanks!

Nice song! It reminded me of my childhood, fishing with my Zebco 202 and catching bluegills, or bream as we called them. Great that you got to experience that with your dad.

Thanks Joe for listening. It is true. I spent most of my youth at the banks of the Mississippi River. I think it was Lock and Dam 13. It’s the one in the Quad Cities. Moline, East Moline, Rock Island and Davenport, Iowa. Great times to be during them years.

Hey Steve.
Yes, I’m still kicking. Still have my foot on the pedal. As you know, I haven’t been very active here for the last 2 years. Like you, I would like to move to another country. I’m still Japan ( 33 years now ) but I’ve been living on and off in Bangkok , Thailand for the last 2 years. I was stationed there during the Vietnam War. I’d like to say its my home these days. Be leaving again soon to go there. It will be my 4th trip. I should make a thread on my cycling adventures soon. The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete

Hi Alan. Thanks for listening.
Yes, fond memories of fishing almost every evening and family camping. These day I find myself cycling and camping here in Japan ( actually going on 7 years now ), but also cycling in Thailand too. Be returning to Thailand soon. I’d like to post pictures, but the forum says the pictures are too big?I’m going to post my traveling blog of Japan and Thailand soon.
