        All of the above, although I’m still waiting. Maybe there was 1 girl 🙂 but sure as hell no cash. But then there’s tomorrow.

          I was a 10 year old boy fascinated by this Gibson 335 hanging on the window of my father’s favorite Friday night tavern where he’d cash his check from working at International Harvester. I knew then that I wanted one and hopefully someday would be able to play a song. I never bought a 335 yet and probably won’t, but I did buy my dream guitar, aFender Telecaster and I’m very happy with it. As far as the girls go, rock’n with a guitar is far cheaper! LOL

          The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete

          It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

              I don’t see anything in the poll that I’d consider for the why. I love music and I find the guitar very relaxing, an escape at times.

                I’d have to say love of music and the guitar in particular. I’ve always loved just about any song that has a really good sounding guitar solo. That led me to want to learn to do it too.

                    You don’t have my option up there. My goal, is to, through my playing, honor Jesus Christ.

                      Rockin’ with the Rock!!!

                      From Psalms 18
                      The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
                      My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;

                      That’s a good goal, Aaron

                        I don’t know for certain but I remember back to my childhood wanting a guitar and my parents wouldn’t agree to it.

                        There was a defining moment in 1974 when a friend told me that I had to hear one of his favorite song/bands

                        As the stylus tracked into the vinyl, I heard Duane Allman’s stinging slide intro into Statesboro Blues on the Live @ The Fillmore. Those notes cut through me as I had never heard before and that was it! My course was set, the blues grabbed me and has never let go.
