My guitar journey would not be complete with a Hummingbird. I’m turning 65 next month and not getting any younger. I always wanted a Hummingbird. Especially after selling my Cherrybyrst J45 back in the early 80s for bus fare to make it home from college for the summer. She’s a stellar find; easy to play, rich lows, crystal highs and a looker! Circa 2004. My oldest brother Bob had one and maybe your never too old to be like the person who turned you on to the guitar. Hope you like.

Looks and sounds great John. Yes, we’re all getting older so it’s good to treat yourself. All the best! 😎🎸😎

That’s a big acoustic sound, John, congrats on finding your dream guitar. Love the double stops you put in Norwegian Wood.
How did you find this beauty, local, Reverb, music shop?
Early happy birthday wishes on that big milestone.

The Hummingbird sounds as gorgeous as it looks. Congratulations! Life is short. Like you, I’ve had to sell some guitars in the past that I regret to this day. Thanks for the two beautiful renditions, John.

You cant’ mistake the big warm sound of a dreadnought Gibson acoustic even with eyes closed, and your Hummingbird sounds beautiful, John!
As you know I own a Dove, the Hummingbird’s sister and they are both great guitars, with just a nuance of difference.
Great rendition of both songs and kudos on your new purchase!Guido

Beautiful guitar and playing John.

Awesome sound from that hummingbird. I love that Norwegian Wood version. I have always used the capo for that song and your version is quite good.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

I really liked your performance of Norwegian Wood John.
I am no expert on steel string accoustics but that sounds like a darned nice guitar 👌
