Got this for $250 and it should be here on Saturday, I have been going crazy trying various cheap pedals and then I realized that I’ll be able to do a lot more with this pedal board instead of building an expensive component pedal board. Some single pedals cost $250 alone so not much to loose on this deal.

Looks like I’m going to have a lot of fun this weekend. Does anyone else have one of these?

I have a Mooer GE 200 and I have recorded many videos with it. It’s also a great practice tool, because it has a built-in looper, drum-machine and metronome.
I also have a couple of pedals (Boss SD Overdrive and tc electronics reverb). Their tone is distinguishably better, but I’m not sure that shows in my recordings.
Anyway, I’m sure you will have a lot of fun with your new gear and I’m eager to hear something from you.

It came in early this morning and I’m already wore out. It has a looper and drum machine as well, so looking forward to eventually using that. The big thing will be dialing in the exact tone I’m looking for in one of the open slots it has for importing NAM files. That’s going to take me some time to get that worked out, but hopefully I find a great blues tone. There are some decent ones in the presets, but I’m going to have to do some tweaking. I just plugged it into my OC 35-RT and didn’t really like the sound while using my Tele. I’ll try it through the Twin Reverb and see how that sounds, but I may be looking at getting or at least trying out an FRFR monitor setup of some kind to get a better representation of the digital modeling coming out of that board. My current monitor speakers are not that good, so more equipment needed for the live sound. Plugging directly into PC and recording might have better results, to judge it by.

There is one preset that I tried called the love of God (Steve Vai) and it was so loud even when the guitar volume is dialed way back. No idea why that was happening, I guess I have a lot of learning curve to get used to what it can and cannot do. The master volume was at a good level for the other presets, so it doesn’t make much sense to me.

I’ll likely get a few more pedals too at least to experiment and compare the results of a real pedal board. I want to build one of those Klon clones to a get a transparent overdrive thing going. I have an old Ibanez SD-9 that I never liked very much, it’s just too overly distorted sounding unless you dial it way back, but then it is just functioning as a booster with lots of noise in it. Some folks really like the SD-9, but I’m not one of them. There might be some mods I can do to it to fix it, but it’s easier just to get the right pedal. I’m good with electronics, so I might build something and then tweak as needed. I have a Boss Parametric EQ pedal, Joyo AC30 sim pedal and a Joyo Delay pedal. So I think just two more pedals will get a pretty decent tone, especially plugged into the Fender Twin since it has great reverb already.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.
